Peaceful Dordogne Escape With Pool

This countryside home is located just 800 metres from the Porte des Tours of the medieval bastide village of Domme in the Black Perigord region of France. Set just outside the village walls, it offers both peace and quiet while remaining within easy walking distance of bars, restaurants and shops. The house is arranged over three levels and accommodates up to ten guests. With six bedrooms, generous living spaces, a games room and a heated outdoor swimming pool, it provides an ideal base for exploring the Dordogne and Vézère valleys.

The house is arranged across three floors. On the ground floor there is an open plan fully equipped kitchen and dining area with fridge, freezer, induction hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle and toaster. A large wooden dining table with chairs and a sitting area with sofa complete this level.

On the first floor there is a sitting room with a comfortable corner sofa, flat screen television, armchairs and coffee table. This opens onto a games room equipped with table football and a selection of board and card games. Also on this floor are two double bedrooms, each furnished with a super king size bed measuring 180 cm wide, bedside tables, lamps and wardrobes. There is one bedroom with a 120 cm wide bed, bedside tables and lamps. A bathroom with bath, separate shower, washbasin and toilet is also located on this level.

The second floor features two further double bedrooms, each with a super king size bed measuring 180 cm, bedside tables and lamps. There is one additional bedroom with a single bed. A shower room with shower, washbasin and toilet completes this floor.

Additional indoor facilities include internet access, washing machine, vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board. Bathrooms are equipped with a bath tub, shower and hair dryer. The house provides three toilets in total.

Guests have access to the entire house and garden. The exterior offers a large fenced garden with several terraces furnished with tables, chairs and parasols for outdoor dining. The swimming pool measures 8 metres by 4.5 metres with a depth ranging from 80 cm to 1.80 metres. The pool is fenced and gated and also fitted with an electric cover. It is heated and open from May to the end of September, with water temperature depending on weather conditions. Parking is available for up to five cars on the property.

The village of Domme is within walking distance at approximately 800 metres from the property. Parking is available on site for up to five cars.

Changeover day is Saturday in July and August, with flexible changeover during the rest of the year. The rental rate includes all charges except for a 3 percent booking and banking fee, a compulsory end of stay cleaning fee of 180 euros and a tourist tax of 1.50 euros per night per adult. Bed linen and bath towels are available to hire at 20 euros per guest. One pet is permitted for a fee of 50 euros. A deposit of 25 percent is required at the time of booking, with the remaining 75 percent due one month prior to arrival. A refundable breakage deposit of 1000 euros is payable with the balance.
