Gstaad in the Bernese Oberland attracts a charming mix of visitors: while the chalet village of Gstaad welcomes famous guests, the smaller neighbouring villages offer attractive options for families with children. In recent years, the centre of Gstaad has developed into the most popular and shortest “shopping mile” in Switzerland.

Mountain railways and roadways provide access to jet set–popular Gstaad in the southwest region of the Swiss Alps. Three ski areas, heli-skiing, 10 winter sports schools and more than 30 miles of cross-country skiing trails are within reach of this traffic-free resort town, which is also known for its fine dining. A promenade lined with luxury boutiques runs through the town center. Activities are also plentiful in summer, like tennis, golf, hiking and mountaineering.

Gstaad is a friendly car-free village. A rather charming, attractively located place full of restored weathered-wood chalets between four gently sloping valleys. It is pleasing with a variety of sporting activities and social events during most of the year.

Bern: Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes (via A12 and Route 11)

Geneva: Approximately 1 hour 50 minutes (via A1 and A12)

Zurich: Approximately 2 hours 30 minutes (via A1 and A12)

Parking:

Private parking is available directly at the chalet.
Additional public parking can be found in Rougemont Village Center, approximately a 5-minute drive away.
Winter Advisory: Snow tires or chains are recommended during winter months due to alpine driving conditions.

By Train:
Nearest Station: The Rougemont Railway Station is just a 5-minute drive or a 15-minute walk from the chalet.

Train Services: The station is served by the Montreux Oberland Bernois (MOB) railway, connecting you to:

Gstaad: Approx. 10 minutes
Montreux: Approx. 1 hour 10 minutes
Zweisimmen: Approx. 25 minutes
